Pazar is in Balatonfüred at Aranyhíd sétány 6, close to the water. Wood panelling, industrial lamps, seating built from a boat and a sunny terrace. It’s open every day, all year, and it’s where you come when a good coffee should turn into a long, chatty brunch.
Coffee and eggs
The coffee comes from Lucky Cap’s specialty roastery in Szekszárd and from Morganti in Rome. Cappuccino and espresso, but also V60, Chemex and cold brew, plus loose-leaf tea, matcha latte and plant milks.
The star of the hot brunch is Eggs Benedict with ham, or Royal with smoked salmon (4,300 HUF when we checked). There’s avocado toast with salmon and a six-minute egg (4,300 HUF), and for the brave the Pazar Smash: beef patty, peanut butter, cranberry jam and Emmental in a toastie (4,500 HUF). Lighter options are roasted vegetables with homemade hummus, mushroom focaccia or a butter croissant (950 HUF). A cappuccino was 1,350 HUF.
The place
Modern, relaxed, friendly. Children and dogs are welcome, and there’s granola and pastries for the little ones. You can’t book; you order at the outside counter.
Good to know
A 13% service charge is added; breakfast with coffee is 2,600–6,500 HUF. Out of season the hot brunch is only Wednesday to Sunday, 8 to 15, and some breakfasts only until noon. There are queues at popular times, and the counter system isn’t for everyone. Parking nearby is paid.
Who it’s for
Anyone who wants to start a day in Füred with a proper coffee and a poached-egg breakfast. Come in the morning if you want eggs.

From Budapest to Füred
Pazar started in 2013 as a small Budapest café, with the idea that coffee should matter, but so should feeling good. In 2017 they opened in Balatonfüred too, by the promenade.

Don't rush the morning
Come in the morning, order a cappuccino and a poached-egg breakfast. If you love coffee, try a V60 or Chemex after the espresso.
