BalatonEats guide

Breakfast, brunch and bakeries at Lake Balaton

Breakfast before an outing, a late brunch or pastries to take away: these are the Balaton stops we gather here. Choosing is not just about the dishes, but whether you want to linger at a table or grab something on the way. Breakfast serving times and bakeries’ daily stocks can change, so check the venue’s latest information before leaving.

Gilvesy B-üzem in Nemesgulács: an industrial-style wine bar and terrace in a former concrete plant Nemesgulács

Balaton wines · Bistro · Wine terrace · Cultural pub

Gilvesy b-üzem

Gilvesy B-üzem in Nemesgulács is a wine bar and creative bistro reborn from an old concrete works at the foot of Szent György-hegy. Gilvesy Robert’s volcanic organic wines are joined by the Nemesgulács Fried Chicken sandwich, Angus croquettes, kimchi toast and seasonal vegetable dishes from Sipos Réka and Petykó István’s kitchen. Vinyl records, special wine tastings, fermented alcohol-free drinks and cultural events make this seasonal venue beside the railway station one of the Balaton Uplands’ most original meeting places.
