A pizzeria among the wine terraces
Look for Mámor at Badacsony Borterasz on Római út: rather than a standalone hillside cellar, you are arriving among several neighbouring hospitality venues. The pizza oven, drinks counter and cake display offer three different reasons to visit. It can be a dedicated pizza dinner, but dessert or an evening cocktail need not be a supporting act to a large meal.
Gajár Bence’s own workshop
Gajár Bence is behind the venue, which opened in summer 2025. Summers spent with his grandmother in Szigliget led him towards cooking; he also used his mechanical-engineering training in creating the guest space, building the counter himself. He largely taught himself to make pizza, with Pluhár László helping refine the technique. This is the story of a long-planned personal venue, not another branch of an established restaurant chain.
Two distinct directions on the pizza menu
The report published in March 2026 presents both a tomato-and-burrata pizza and a mushroom-and-truffle version. With company, ordering two contrasting bases is therefore more interesting than two similarly rich topping combinations. Seasonal specials deserve particular attention, but do not assume combinations seen previously are permanent. Desserts come from Sweetrose Sütibox in Sümeg.
Beyond pizza, the submitted images show breakfast, sandwiches, a dessert counter and two cocktail directions: coffee-based and fruity. This suggests the venue works at several times of day, but a photograph is not a substitute for that day’s menu.
When is it a good choice?
If half your group wants pizza while the other half prefers cake or a drink, this format may be more useful than a conventional dinner restaurant. It also fits into a wine-country outing, but agree in advance who will drive. If you want a quiet, secluded hillside terrace, do not rely on the Badacsony name alone: the shared terrace and evening bar atmosphere are part of this venue’s character.

Worth a taste
Two contrasting pizzas to share
Comparing a tomato base with a creamier one makes a good first order. It lets you pay attention to the dough and balance of toppings, rather than just one favourite flavour.
Local tip
Do not order dessert in advance
Look at the cake display first, then decide how many pizzas to order. If cake is part of the plan, a shared dessert suits a tasting-style dinner better than automatically adding a whole extra course per person.
The BalatonEats meal plan
How to put your meal together
- 01Start with two contrasting pizzas
Pair a tomato-based pizza with a white-based one. Let the staff know if you would like to share.
- 02Next: that day's dessert display
Choose from the display rather than expecting a slice of cake seen in an older photo.
- 03Finish with coffee or a cocktail
Discuss whether you are staying after dinner: finishing with coffee and lingering over cocktails are different plans. Ask for a non-alcoholic option for the driver.

Good to know before you go
- Published pizza prices come from an earlier report and are not a promise of today's prices.
- Seasonal toppings and displayed desserts change.
- The shared terrace and bar character are not the same experience as a secluded cellar courtyard.
