The restaurant at Alsóörs’s Ypsilon Yacht Club began a new chapter in 2026, when the team from Bobo and Mezzo at Budapest’s Haris Park moved into the marina. Ypsilon by bobo welcomes lunch and dinner guests with a modern, elegant interior, large terrace and almost uninterrupted Balaton panorama.
Corporate chef Szabó Zsolt leads the kitchen, sharing responsibility for the Alsóörs menu with chef Egri Zsombor. Approachable Hungarian classics familiar from bobo — chicken paprikash, veal schnitzel and floating islands — appear alongside international dishes and fresh Balaton inspiration. Coconut-milk udon with prawns, truffle-and-ricotta ravioli and pike-perch with a green crust illustrate this dual approach.
The plates are striking without pursuing fine-dining effects for their own sake: the aim is a complete, comfortable restaurant experience in which the panorama and the food are equal partners. The menu is seasonal, with an emphasis on salads, fish and vegetables, while the children’s menu and meat-free options make choosing easy for mixed groups.
The venue’s strength is the marina way of life. From the terrace you look out at sailing boats and water, and visitor berths allow you to arrive by boat. It is more a destination for a celebratory lunch, sunset dinner or event than a quick beach snack bar.
The restaurant follows a seasonal schedule, supplemented by the Deck with separate hours. Book ahead for weekends and larger groups, and check the official website for current hours before setting out.
