Kővirág is more than a restaurant on Köveskál’s main street: it is one of the Káli Basin’s long-established, much-loved meeting places. White walls, a gravel courtyard and a shady garden provide such a natural setting for lunch or a long breakfast that they alone make the detour worthwhile.
The house began a new chapter in summer 2026, when the teams from Budapest’s Pan’ni and Artizán bakery moved into Kővirág. The previous local, seasonal approach remained, joined by sourdough bread, leisurely brunches, good coffee, natural wines and sparkling wines. The menu avoids unnecessary complexity; fresh ingredients, assured technique and the garden’s atmosphere combine to create the experience.
This is somewhere to allow yourself time: breakfast with friends, lunch while exploring the Káli Basin, or a glass of wine on a Friday or Saturday evening. Given its seasonal operation, always check current opening hours before setting out and reserve a table, especially at weekends.

The person behind the place
Two worlds, one house in Köveskál
After Kővirág's year off in 2025, the teams from Budapest's Pan’ni and Artizán bakery revived its restaurant service in June 2026. Kővirág's seasonal, regional character was joined by Pan’ni's bread-focused, informal approach to brunch.
