Not for you ifAnyone wanting a quiet table-service restaurant or unchanged opening hours all year
Best time to goLate afternoon or around sunset; particularly atmospheric on Fridays and Saturdays with live music.

At the Alsóörs end of Csopak beach, CITRUS46 has no ambition to be another lángos stand. Opened by Kele Nóra and Bozzay Barna in summer 2026, it brings a Mediterranean feel, internationally inspired beach cooking and relaxed waterfront time to a stretch of shore where a good lunch does not necessarily require a beach ticket.

A beach snack bar with a much wider outlook

The self-service system is quick, but the choice is surprisingly varied: comforting burgers and classics sit alongside bowls, wraps, mezze, pizzas, light cold dishes and a children’s menu. The kitchen’s strength is meeting the different appetites of a family or group of friends at a single table.

What should you try?

The house signature is Fogas 46°: crisp-skinned pike-perch fillet with cardamom-and-turmeric rice, citrus chimichurri and grilled baby corn. Balkan ćevapčići with ajvar and red onion is another good choice, or a bowl or wrap for something lighter. Local wines, homemade lemonades and weekend live music carry the summer beach-bar atmosphere onwards.

Not only from the beach

The venue directly adjoins the Balaton Cycle Route, making it an obvious cycling stop too. Service is available from both the street and the beach, so a panoramic lunch or sunset drink does not require planning a full beach day.

Opening hours are seasonal and may vary with weather and events; check the venue’s own channels before setting out.

Worth a taste

Fogas 46°

Crisp-skinned pike-perch, cardamom-and-turmeric rice and citrus chimichurri show exactly why this is more than an average beach snack bar.

Local tip

An easy stop by bike too

Accessible from the Balaton Cycle Route without a beach ticket. On summer weekends, arrive earlier for a good table when there is live music.

What guests say

What stays with guests?

The few but consistent public comments and the editorial review suggest a fresh, friendly venue more interesting than the usual beach snack bars. There are still too few guest reviews for a long-term assessment.

We Love Balaton venue listing and editorial review; Tripadvisor's new venue listing and the brief guest feedback currently available; CITRUS46's own website.
