Kredenc Pizza Pont – Balatonfüred

Stone-baked pizza, Balaton wines and leisurely company on Blaha Lujza utca. Formerly known as a Borbisztró, Kredenc is now pizza-focused, with Füred's street scene as much a part of the outing as lunch itself.

The BalatonEats pick Italian-style pizza, Balaton wines and Blaha utca's sociable atmosphere at a Füred venue with wine-bistro roots.

Choose it ifyou want Italian-style pizza, a glass of wine and an informal Füred street setting alongside a walk or meeting with friends.
Not for you ifyou want direct views of Lake Balaton, a formal multi-course dinner or guaranteed quiet every evening.
Best time to goA leisurely lunch or an early-evening pizza arranged ahead. Book for the summer terrace or a larger group; on event days, check the music programme too.

A wine-bistro past, a pizza-focused present

Older guides list Balatonfüred’s Kredenc as a Borbisztró, or wine bistro; its own website now calls it Pizza Pont. The address remains Blaha Lujza utca 7. Hello Hungary’s introduction links its beginnings to Dobai András and 2010. Wine, an informal atmosphere and easy-to-share bites were part of the early story; pizza is clearly central to today’s selection.

That dual identity helps set expectations. Think of it not as a formal restaurant for a celebratory multi-course meal, but somewhere to sit down, eat, chat and have a drink after a walk around Füred. The former wine-bistro name does not automatically mean guided tastings or a pre-arranged wine flight.

Blaha utca is part of the experience

The terrace photograph shows an avenue of trees, old façades, wooden chairs and a succession of tables framing lunch. You look out onto the street here, not across Lake Balaton from a terrace over the water. Alongside the pizzas, the photograph includes a glass of wine and a citrus drink: it is easy to imagine a leisurely afternoon that continues beyond the last slice.

The evening photograph shows another side: houses bathed in yellow light, groups chatting and a musical scene. This offers a sense of atmosphere, not a promise of entertainment every evening. Whether coming for a concert or quiet conversation, check that day’s events. Indoors, wooden tables, simple settings and differently patterned plates continue the informal style.

From dough to topping

The venue’s Foodora description promises slowly proved, stone-baked pizza made with Neapolitan type 00 flour. This describes a preparation method, not Neapolitan certification. The supplied ingredient photograph shows sacks of Caputo flour and several kinds of Italian tinned tomatoes; the terrace pizza has a pronounced, mottled crust. The photograph illustrates the kitchen’s direction, not a guarantee that every current supplier remains unchanged.

Little Italy is a useful first choice, bringing together cured ham, rocket and cheese. If you would rather focus on the dough and base, Margherita is a simpler starting point. The Balaton version connects pizza with the surrounding region through cheese from Vászoly and almonds. The latter makes reading the ingredients particularly important: the dish’s name alone is not enough to decide.

When not everyone wants pizza

The ordering selection also includes soups, salads and pasta. Wolt lists, for example, tomato soup, Pasta della Casa and Mediterranean vegetable stew labelled vegan. That gives a mixed group more flexibility than a pizza-only menu, but check availability at the venue on the day.

The cream soup and large filled flatbread sandwich in the photographs are not automatically assigned names from today’s menu. Likewise, do not expect dishes mentioned in older guest accounts to retain the same recipes: a name can remain while its ingredients change. With dietary restrictions, always ask about that day’s composition.

A glass alongside your pizza

The wine connection remains visible in today’s online selection, which includes wines from Csopak, Pécsely and Szőlőskislak. A bottle available for delivery is not the same as a wine currently poured by the glass. If you want just a glass, choose from the bottles currently open and mention which pizza you will be eating.

Kredenc best suits pizza for two or a relaxed meeting with friends. Takeaway is also an option, but the street-side table, surroundings and sociable atmosphere add to the food precisely when you stay. Book ahead for a summer evening or larger group, and check that day’s opening hours before setting off.

Worth a taste

Little Italy pizza

Cured ham, rocket and cheese illustrate Kredenc's Italian-style pizza direction well. It appears in both the Foodora and Wolt selections.

Local tip

Eating in or taking away?

The official website advertises a 10% discount for direct telephone orders collected from the restaurant. Ask about its validity and collection time when ordering; this is not an eat-in discount.

The BalatonEats meal plan

How to put your meal together

  1. 01
    Start: the day's soup

For a full lunch, ask about the daily soup. The ordering selection also lists tomato soup, but the choice at the venue takes precedence.

  2. 02
The main event: Little Italy or Margherita

The former follows the cured-ham-and-rocket route; the latter lets the pizza base shine through simpler toppings.

  3. 03
Finish: coffee with the day's sweet option

Ask about dessert at the venue. If the pizza was enough, coffee alone makes a comfortable finish.

What guests say

What stays with guests?

Pizza, a friendly welcome and atmosphere are shared strengths. Older wine-bistro accounts focus on drinks and the hosts' presence, while newer ones concentrate more on food. This summarises public opinions, not our own restaurant review.

Based on written reviews from 2016–2020 on Ittjártam's Kredenc Borbisztró listing and more recent Google reviews reproduced by Restaurant Guru. We did not mix in the separate Pizza.Pont listing containing earlier reviews of Kedves Kávéház.

+

What brings people back

  • Both older and newer accounts praise the pizza and personable service.
  • The street terrace and relaxed, homely atmosphere are recurring positives.
  • Wine and music feature particularly strongly in older Borbisztró reviews.

!

Good to know before you go

  • A 2016 account criticised the value of the wines and accompanying bites; this is not a verified current trend.
  • The more recent reviews examined did not establish a sufficiently supported, recurring specific complaint. Older experiences and today's pizza selection are best considered separately.
