Where fire, smoke and meat meet
Sometimes the sight of a large, juicy burger or a piece of slow-cooked, smoky meat makes you hungry instantly. Siófok’s Déli Part Woodfired BBQ is built around exactly that experience. Wood fire, grilling and authentic American BBQ culture meet here in a relaxed, friendly world devoted to meat lovers.
There is no need to feel formal among the brick walls, warm lights and rustic wooden tables. You can happily grab your burger with both hands, mop up the juices and enjoy every bite on your plate. The atmosphere is easy-going, the portions impressive and the flavours are unmistakably the stars.
Behind these smoky treats is Baricza József, known in the BBQ world as pitmaster Dzsozi. The Gault&Millau gastronomic guide also highlights his work, particularly the brisket, juicy pork belly, ribs and BBQ sausages. Patience, wood fire and smoky aromas provide the magic in these dishes.
Burgers you cannot wait to bite into
It is hard to read Déli Part’s menu without your stomach rumbling. The DP Spec burger, for example, brings beef and slow-cooked, fall-apart pulled pork together in one substantial burger. Two meats, rich smoky flavours and that first generous bite that makes you happily set aside your knife and fork.
The 1947 By Sam Jones tempts with bacon and jalapeño: the bacon’s distinctive saltiness meets the pepper’s spicy kick. If you prefer a meat-free treat, the Camemberry burger offers creamy, cheesy pleasure with grilled Camembert.
And of course there are BBQ’s true heavyweights. Slowly smoked meats are a world apart from everyday grilling: with brisket, ribs or pork belly, long cooking brings out the deep, distinctive flavours BBQ enthusiasts love.
A taste of the prices too: the 1947 By Sam Jones burger costs HUF 4,990, the DP Spec HUF 5,390 and the Camemberry HUF 4,990 on Wolt. These are online ordering prices; on-site prices may differ.
Good company, smoky meat and leisurely eating
Déli Part is the sort of place to visit with good friends, order a few truly substantial dishes and let lunch turn into a long conversation. A juicy burger, some BBQ, a tasty side and you have the makings of a perfectly relaxed outing.
The terrace can be particularly pleasant, but the atmospheric interior is inviting too. Nor is it only for committed meat lovers: a meat-free burger, pasta dishes and children’s choices also feature on the menu.
Gault&Millau describes the venue as dog-friendly, so you can plan a restaurant visit with your four-legged companion too. For families, the children’s corner may be another pleasant surprise.
A weekend BBQ adventure beside the Sió
Déli Part can be an especially good destination on a weekend Balaton getaway. In autumn, plan around Friday-to-Sunday opening, but always check the latest information as the season draws to a close.
If you are travelling specifically for smoked brisket, BBQ ribs or a generously loaded meat platter, check Déli Part’s official Facebook page beforehand for current food offerings and opening hours.
Why try it? Because truly good BBQ has something irresistible about it. Smoky aromas, juicy meats, generously loaded burgers and an informal atmosphere make Déli Part a place you visit not merely to eat, but for a delicious and memorable meal.
Worth a taste
DP Spec Burger
This is not a burger for discreet nibbling. A 180-gram beef patty is topped with another 120 grams of slowly smoked, fall-apart pulled pork, followed by cheddar, crunchy green-apple coleslaw and house BBQ sauce. A soft, buttery bun holds it all together. Juicy beef, smoky pork neck and fresh, gently tangy coleslaw make a true flavour explosion. Two hands, plenty of napkins and a huge appetite are recommended!
Local tip
Taste what smoke can do!
To really discover Déli Part, do not stop at the burgers! Check the current weekend BBQ specials too. A portion of slowly smoked brisket or a mixed-meat BBQ platter is a very different experience from conventional grilling. Specials are often available only while stocks last.
The BalatonEats meal plan
How to put your meal together
- 01Slow-smoked Omaha beef brisket
Good brisket is one of BBQ's greatest temptations. It spends hours in the smoke until a dark, spiced bark forms outside and the meat becomes tender and juicy within. Imagine the knife gliding through a thick slice, with the full flavour of beef, spices and the distinctive smoky aroma of wood fire meeting in every bite. This is the experience a true BBQ fan will happily travel for. Watch the weekend specials, as it is not a permanent menu item!
- 02DP Spec Burger with beef and pulled pork
There is no half-hearted way to bite into this burger! A thick beef patty is topped with a generous helping of smoked, fall-apart pork neck, cheddar, crunchy green-apple coleslaw and rich house BBQ sauce. All in a soft, buttery bun, where every bite combines juicy meat, smoky sweetness and the pleasant tang of fresh coleslaw. True two-handed, napkin-consuming happiness!
- 03Camemberry Burger with grilled Camembert
Who says a really good burger has to contain meat? In the Camemberry, the soft, creamy centre of grilled Camembert meets the sweet-tart flavour of blueberry and red onion jam. Fresh vegetables, a delicious sauce and a soft, buttery bun complete this surprisingly rich, exciting combination. Hot, melting cheese and fruity onion jam are so tempting they might give even committed meat lovers pause.
