Kerekes Pince is on the edge of Balatonalmádi, on Vödörvölgyi út, less than three kilometres from the town centre and away from the lakeside bustle. From the terrace you look out onto a wooded hillside. It opened in 2013 as a wine bar and spritzer terrace and has since become a restaurant and winery.
Grill, oven, creative home cooking
The kitchen is built on dishes from the oven and the grill, homely at heart with a creative twist. The menu has featured roast duck leg with cabbage cream, marrow bone toast and Székely curd pancakes with homemade jam. Alongside these there are Asian dishes, Italian-style pizza and American steaks grilled over charcoal. With the wines they serve toast with wasabi and salmon caviar.
Their own wines
The cellar’s own wines are served with the food, and the wine list is carefully chosen. They also hold themed evenings around particular dishes, sometimes with live music.
